DR. MUHAMMAD AMJAD

ENTOMOLOGIST

Dr. Muhammad Amjad, is PhD in Entomology from Oklahoma State University, USA (1991).  He worked to develop integrated best management model to control different insect pests on oilseed crops. He worked in different capacities in the research system and published more than 100 technical research papers in local and international journals. He was a team member for the development activities of oilseed crops in the country. He also developed project proposals for the research, development and promotion for oilseed crops like sunflower, canola and soybean in Pakistan. As a coordinator oilseed crops, he served at national level to coordinate the research and development activities in collaboration with private and public sector for the promotion of oilseed production in country. He developed research based products, technologies and services for the rural and urban community while serving as a CEO of PTACO-PARC Agrotech Company. He also developed and marketed 162 products in addition to provision of services to the community on commercial basis and the major achievement was to enhance the revenue from 70 million to 350 million in 5 years. Recently he served  as consultant in Concave Naturals, Islamabad and developed Natural Agri based edible products to build up the immunity against different diseases. He also developed healthy products with high fiber and low carbohydrates for good health. Also helped in finding out different local and exotic markets for these products. He has rich experience in agriculture from lab to farm and farm to fork.
